Als dit klopt dan is de militaire samenwerking van de Europese Unie en de Verenigde Staten met Kiev wat voorbarig. De dreiging uit Pyongyang is reden voor zware militaire reacties en legitimatie voor bewapeningsprogramma's in de Westerse wereld. Dat gaat zelfs zover dat over vergelding met kernwapens wordt gesproken. Nu blijkt de dreiging versterkt te worden door een land waar de Minister van Defensie van de VS James Norman Mattis deze week op bezoek zal gaan en waarmee de Europese Unie een verdrag heeft gesloten. Kiev ontkent de berichten en de NYT hult zich verder in stilzwijgen.

Verder viel op het gebruik van Israëlische drones die door Azerbeidzjan werden getest op Armeniërs.
